Born on August 13, 1922 in Greeneville, South Carolina, Sister Elizabeth Campbell moved to Asheville at an early age. She is the widower of James Campbell Sr., and mother of four children. She is active in Pine Grove Missionary Baptist and serves on numerous committees to include Deaconess and chair of the Ushers Ministry.
Sister Campbell speaks in a soft subdued fashion, but you want to listen to what she has to say. She is one the finest human beings you will ever have the privilege to know.
Sister Campbell has been a member of the Citywide Ushers Union for 48 years. She has been on every Committee in the Union. She served as Mistress of Ceremonies for a number of years and has served as Secretary for over 20 years. Sister Campbell is the oldest active member of the Union and has been the rock that has held it together.
